1. About Sundanese
From 60 years ago until the current time, before Indonesia achieved independence, Indonesian was not a common language in the community, and the language used differed according to its people. People living in Java spoke Javanese, people living in Sumatra spoke Minangkabau, people living in Bali spoke Balinese and people living in Bandung in West Java continued to use Sundanese. The language that Indonesian children study at school is Indonesian but even now, people living in West Java speak the community language Sundanese. There are 27 million of these speakers.

First of all, about the Sundanese language, there are a few similarities with Japanese. That is, the language can be split into polite and everyday expressions.
The 3 politeness levels are, in order of politness, from most to least:
"Bahasa Halus (Lemes)"
"Bahasa Sedeng"
"Bahasa Kasar"
For example, the word 'I', according to the speaker and the situation, can be said as "Pun", "Abdi" and "Urang". Another one, "Aing" is used when talking to children, and when talking with close friends.

Note on Sundanese phonology
Wikipedia has a small section on Sundanese phonology, to hear the different IPA sounds, go here.
I'm not aware of the exact pronunciation rules used in this course, but you should be fine using the above guides. Also, it seems that adding a 'h' to the end of words lengthens the previous vowel.

arabic and english, and a wiki search for sudanese brings up well, Sudan.

It's Sundanese with an 'n', an Austronesian language of Indonesia, but it's easy to mix up with Sudanese Arabic. No relation between the two though, except for having annoyingly similar names. ;)
